Directions & Parking

Public Transportation

The UTA Route 200 bus runs to the Capitol in two directions:

  1. From downtown, take the northbound bus heading to N Temple FrontRunner.
  2. From the North Temple FrontRunner Station, or North Temple Street, take the bus to Murray Central Station.
  3. Bus only runs to the Capitol on Weekdays.

Coming from the South

  • Head northbound on I-15 and take exit 306 for 600 South.
  • Continue straight.
  • Turn left onto State Street and continue north until you reach the Capitol.
  • You will come to a “T” at 300 North. Turn right.
  • Bear left to continue on East Capitol Blvd. Public parking lots will be on the left and street parking is available on the right.

Coming from the North

  • Head southbound on I-15 and take exit 312 for US-89 S toward Beck St.
  • Continue on Beck Street.
  • Turn left onto Victory Road. Continue onto Columbus Street.
  • Pass the Capitol on your left. At the light, turn left onto 300 North.
  • Bear left to continue on East Capitol Blvd. Public parking lots will be on the left and street parking is available on the right.

Visitors should enter the Capitol through the east doors. A handicapped access ramp is located between the Capitol and the Senate Building. Parking is available in the public lots located on the east side of the Senate Building. Parking is also allowed along the streets around the perimeter of the Capitol unless otherwise stated by signs. School and charter buses may find parallel parking on the southbound side of East Capitol Blvd.
